This collection brings together work made across a range of printmaking techniques — collagraph, intaglio, woodblock, lithograph and etching on zinc — each chosen for what it can uniquely express.

Collagraph plates are built up by hand using texture and found materials, then inked and pressed through a Rochat press in my studio to produce rich, tactile surfaces. Intaglio work — including drypoint and etching — draws on the same press but works by incising line and tone directly into the plate, producing the fine detail visible in pieces such as the giraffe and the atmospheric shadow studies.

The two-block woodcuts explore bolder mark-making, carving into the grain to produce strong contrasts of black and gold. Throughout, the natural world remains the constant subject — birds, fish, insects, animals observed and reimagined through the particular language of print.
